Ra says sequencing was introduced to him by the Voice during his experience in 1987, as a way of describing a progressive program, and that it was first shown to him through what we now know as the tarot. When he explains the 64 steps, he calls it a possession of the ancient Egyptian priesthood, their understanding that everything is caught in a sequence, which later survived only in fragments. He translated it into the hexagram structure, the 64 steps numbered 1 to 64. He also says it was never practical the way the I Ching is, with no inherent mathematics he could turn into tools, so it never became part of the synthesis. It is also where his 1987 instruction began: the first thing he was told was that we were still in the 54th step, and that 1781 and 2027 open the 54th and 55th steps. So sequencing is a second, older frame beside the Global Cycles. Ra himself called it his little mystical story rather than a working tool.
